About ICD-10

As mandated by the Department of Health and Human Services, the standard medical data sets for coding diagnoses and inpatient hospital procedures in the United States is changing to the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems 10th Revision (ICD-10).  Migration from ICD-9 to ICD-10 requires organizations to evaluate and review their systems, processes, practices and policies that touch these code sets. Forward thinking organizations are viewing the transaction process to ICD-10 as a business improvement opportunity.
